Even if they are still shooting rockets from Gaza. Even if many airplanes are heard exercising above us. Even if our little country is attacked from the north and the south at the same time. Even if the whole situation is full of uncertainties. There is still peace to be found with our unchanging God. He who is not surprised by any of what has happened to our country the last few days. He who keeps all of us in His almighty Hands, is able to fill us with His unexplainable peace.
And look what a verse I came across in Isaiah 54,12:
“All your children shall be taught by the LORD. And great shall be the peace of your children.”
What promises! And that from a God who is faithful to His promises!!
I pray this verse over my own children as well as over the children of Sderot, Ashkelon, Netivot, Beer Sheva and all the areas that are under attack. And today I especially pray it over the daughter of a friend from Sderot that I spoke with today. She shared with a sigh that her daughter had just finished therapy for the fear and the difficult experiences she had lived thorugh in Sderot… And now it starts all over again… – Oh, God, may You bless her with Your peace!!
